O God, My Father, I Believe

O God, my Father, I believe
That Thou hast ne'er forsaken me,
For I feel Thy love again
Overwhelming that of men.

Thou art the light inside my soul
Testifying all I know,
E'en my hope in Christ, Thy Son,
His sacrifice for Thy kingdom.

He has offered me His name;
He would suffer all my pain
If I would repent, take heart
To trust in Him and ne'er depart.

Though the Savior is Lord of all,
His ear hearkens to my call
And, as a friend like no one else,
Knows me better than myself.
