I Digress

I digress
devolve meander between points
without pointing out
the stops—
they have reason (which
keeping to my footprints may
position you to see,
but you must also have active
eyes and imagery
feeding the stream, converting
sparks of energy into
conclusive meaning)—
You must think and
not think
on any one thing;
only then will my poetics
speak truthfully.
